RN to paramedic Wisconsin is a bridge program that helps licensed paramedics transition to nursing careers. The program combines clinical experience with academic courses, so students can apply what they know in a healthcare setting. The graduates will be able to sit for the required RN licensing exams. Many colleges offer bridge programs for paramedics and RNs. Online programs may be available for certain programs.

You must complete specific courses and have 2,000 hours of experience to become a registered nurse. Bridge programs often require at least one-year paramedic experience. Others offer fast track programs that allow students to complete their program in as little as one year. These programs are intended to offer a more intensive curriculum, and prepare students for the RN licensure exams. The RN to Paramedic Wisconsin program is designed for students who have at least one year of RN experience. Students who are interested in this course must also have current certification from Board of Credentialing and Examining Nursing Standards. Applicants must attend psychomotor skills testing on the Friday of Week 8. The course runs over a weekend. Clinical experiences take place in Milwaukee. The course teaches paramedic skills and allows trainees to meet their future crewmates.

This program is designed to prepare students for the NCLEX-RN exam. After completing all three units, students will receive a certificate of accomplishment. Hill College in Texas offers a program to bridge paramedic to RN. This program emphasizes critical thought skills and comprehensive nursing services. The program is broken down into three semesters. Each semester has 11-14 credit hour. The program can also be offered online, but students must complete only one course per semester.

Students can get an accelerated program through the Healthcare Professional to RN bridge program. This program includes both online and in-person classes as well as labs and clinical experiences. A brief introduction to mental health nursing is included in the curriculum. These programs can also be completed online and may take as long as one year. Additionally, financial aid may be available to students.
